Postcard from 90West

Another 3 fruitful weeks passed just like that at xd’s place in New York. sigh. 3 weeks this summer plus 2 weeks in spring and 6 weeks last winter… altogether 11 weeks I spent brainstorming for Sandcastle here and the script is still not done.

Anyway, this building was where I spent my time cooped up and thinking. So pretty right. Built in 1907 and designed by Cass Gilbert, who also designed the Woolworth just a few blocks away, 90 West Street was the only building severely damaged in 9/11 that survived. Some rather amazing info about it here, here and here.

Once again, I’ll pack up and head home, where a million things will come between me and my script. At least this time the momentum feels really good and hopefully I can churn something out within my week of self-quarantine at home.

I want to be back here for Christmas!!
